Temperance Pledge

O GOD, my FATHER, to show my love for Thee, to make reparation to thy wounded honour, to obtain the salvation of souls, I firmly purpose to take this day neither wine, nor beer, nor any intoxicating drink. I offer Thee this act of mortification in union with the sacrifice of thy SON JESUS CHRIST, who daily offers Himself a victim on the altar for thy greater glory. Amen.
